Stable gastric pentadecapeptide
A 15-amino-acid fragment of a gastric juice protein that has been studied unusually broadly in animal models. One of the most discussed research peptides, with an evidence base that is almost entirely preclinical.
TB-500
Synthetic fragment of thymosin β4
A short, N-terminally acetylated heptapeptide corresponding to the actin-binding region of thymosin β4. In cell biology, a tool for studying cell migration and the cytoskeleton.
GHK-Cu
Copper tripeptide from human plasma
A naturally occurring tripeptide that binds copper(II) and whose plasma concentration declines with age. Studied in cell culture and animal models since the 1970s, particularly well documented in skin research.
Semaglutide
Long-acting GLP-1 analogue
A deliberately modified analogue of the gut hormone GLP-1 whose half-life was extended from minutes to about a week. As the active ingredient of approved medicines one of the best-studied peptides of all; as a research chemical, a model for peptide engineering.

Thymosin beta-4 and TB-500 in tissue healing, regeneration, and musculoskeletal repair: a scoping review
Evaluation of 80 studies on thymosin β4 and TB-500. The evidence is predominantly in vitro and in animals, mostly concerns the full-length protein and hardly the fragment; human data on tendons and ligaments are largely absent.
Multifunctionality and possible medical application of the BPC 157 peptide: literature and patent review
Literature and patent review of the pentadecapeptide BPC 157. The data evaluated come predominantly from preclinical models; the authors stress the lack of clinical evidence.
Stable gastric pentadecapeptide BPC 157 and wound healing
Review of findings on BPC 157 in wound models (incisions, burns, diabetic ulcers) in rats and mice; mechanisms via the NO system and angiogenesis are discussed.
